Stratecast Publishes Whitepaper on Supporting Business Transformation
Independent analyst house highlights value of Dynamic Business Modeling

Waltham, Mass and London, UK, March 31 2008 – Stratecast, Frost & Sullivan's independent practice providing the telecommunications industry with market consulting and tactical strategic forecasting is publishing a new whitepaper titled “Supporting Business Transformation: More than IT can handle.”

The paper, authored by Senior Consulting Analyst, OSS/BSS Global Competitive Strategies (OSSCS) Karl Whitelock, examines how service convergence is placing heretofore unforeseen demands on Business Support Systems.  It concludes that, particularly in the area of billing, assumptions governing systems development and implementation projects “only a few short years ago are no longer valid in today’s changing business environment.”

The paper offers a detailed, independent analysis of MetraNet, in the process concluding that the product’s Dynamic Business Modeling functionality is becoming a core IT requirement.  It states: “Supporting rapid IT systems development response is proving increasingly difficult with traditional tools and processes.  Supporting new business needs using modifications to existing systems is always possible with enough money and resources but the time required to do so removes much of the competitive advantage.”

The paper continues: “Where there is a recognition that the dynamic capability of business change is essential, MetraTech should be given consideration.”

“Supporting Business Transformation” concludes: “Stratecast believes the MetraTech product approach offers a number of significant business benefits, the most pronounced of which is an ability to rapidly address changing business strategies.  The MetraTech solution framework appears to be well suited for the converging communications, content, and advertising markets especially where significant proactive service strategies will need to be engaged over the next 2-4 years.”

Observed MetraTech founder and Chief Executive Officer, Scott Swartz: “we are delighted that, for the second time this month, a leading analyst house whose opinions are held in high regard across the industry is recognizing the impact that MetraNet is making in the market.  Our founding principles in building the product eight years ago anticipated the needs of today’s dynamic landscape and it is gratifying to now see users as diverse as Telus, Dish Networks, Swisscom Mobile, and Premiere Global Services (among others) confirming the advantages that MetraNet can bring.”
